This department was necessitated by the need to save our clients from huge losses emanating from policies wrongly formulated and adopted in their business dealings in Nigeria.
We render this specialized service mostly to our foreign clients, since our country is emerging market where lot of policy decisions are coloured with political considerations. We ensure that the interests of our clients are adequately protected at all times by making sure that they take necessary measures to avoid hostile responses from their host communities. We also use our good contacts to get favourable attention to the needs of our clients from government or its agencies. |

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND LABOUR RELATIONS
The firm is engaged in advising our corporate clients in the employer/employee relationship and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. We negotiate terms and draft the contract of employment between our clients and employees.
We also advise on recruitment of staff, periodic performance evaluation of the organization. Furthermore, we regularly offer advice on resolution of trade disputes between trade unions existing in our client’s organizations and their employees whenever the need arises. |

ARBITRATION
We are regularly and actively involved in alternate dispute resolution in the settlement of commercial disputes. The scope has been enlarged especially in Lagos state with the establishment of the court annexed Lagos Multi door Court House (LMCH). We have in handling some of our clients matters referred commercial case for settlement via any of the alternate dispute resolution procedures. This mode of dispute resolution has its advantages which include privacy and the choice of venue/arbitrators. Most commercial international agreements specifically provided for reference of disputes which mat arise to arbitral panels and the results have been favorable to a large extent.
In the field of arbitration, our principal consultant has been involved in quite a lot of arbitration matters over the years. Our scope of international arbitration assignments span the World Bank Administrative Tribunal in Washington, USA (Our principal consultant was the President of the WBAT 2004/5), Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague, Netherlands, and ICC, Paris, France (Our principal consultant was vice president of its arbitration chamber). Our firm’s name and reputation in the field of arbitration is quite high, the experience and exposure we have gathered over the years gives us an edge over and above our contemporaries in this field. |
